100 Avenue in Grande Prairie re-opened to traffic

Nov 2, 2021 | 3:14 PM

100 Avenue between 98 Street and 100 Street is re-opened to traffic, after being closed throughout the summer due to Phase 4 of the Downtown Rehabilitation and Streetscapes Project.

Officials with the city say the west block between 99 and 100 Street is completely open to both traffic and parking, while the east block between 98 and 99 Street is open to a single lane.

The intersection of 99 Street and 100 Avenue is also open to north, south, and westbound traffic.

Officials add some work does remain on the project, though, as crews will still install paving stones and other items along the pedestrian walkways until the construction halts for winter.
