Persisting fog leads to advisory for Grande Prairie area

As a thick fog continues to linger over the Grande Prairie area, a fog advisory has been issued by Environment Canada.

The weather office says the fog, which is created near zero visibility in some parts of the region, is expected to persist and expand into other regions of northern Alberta tonight.

“If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance,” says Environment Canada.

The advisory is also in place for the Peace River-Fairview-High Prairie-Manning forecast area.
