Wind warning issued for Grande Prairie area

Environment Canada has issued a wind warning for the City of Grande Prairie.

The warning is in place for the County of Grande Prairie and the M.D. of Greenview.

The weather office is predicting winds gusts of up to 30-50 km/h Tuesday afternoon and is expected to gust to 90 km/h Tuesday evening.

Persons in or near this area should be on the lookout for adverse weather conditions and take necessary safety precautions.

Wind warnings are issued when there is a significant risk of damaging winds.
