New temporary transit routes now in effect with opening of new hospital, Smith reception centre

Starting today, two new temporary transit routes are being implemented to provide service to the new Grande Prairie Regional Hospital and the Activity and Reception Centre in the Smith Neighbourhood.

Route 11 will offer service to Grande Prairie Regional College, the new Grande Prairie Regional Hospital, Prairie Mall, southbound along 100th Street and the Towne Centre Mall.

Route 12 will then head to the new Activity and Reception Centre, which will open in 2022, then head to Cobblestone/Crystal Heights, Prairie Mall, QE II Hospital, and the Towne Centre Mall.

The new routes will operate on a 60-minute frequency, seven days a week.
