Grande Prairie man wins $100,000 from lottery ticket

A Grande Prairie man is $100,000 richer after he discovered he had a winning ticket on the November 22 EXTRA draw.

“I was pretty surprised,” said Suleyman Erci while claiming his prize. “I wasn’t hyper or anything like that, I tried to keep as mellow as possible, but I was really surprised!”

Erci said in a news release that he will be putting most of the money towards a down payment on a house.

“I’m happy I’ll have smaller mortgage payments to make,” he explained.

Erci purchased his winning ticket at Wally’s Mini Mart, located at 9318 100 Street in Grande Prairie. He won his prize by matching the last six digits of the EXTRA number drawn on November 22 – 2163580.
