Sexsmith Bulk Water Station to close temporarily starting Dec. 23

Aquatera has announced it will be temporarily closing the Sexsmith Bulk Water Station on December 23 until further notice.

“To protect the health and safety of customers, communities and employees, Aquatera Utilities Inc. is temporarily closed the Sexsmith Bulk Water Station, located at 10009 Elevator Road, effective Thursday, December 23, until further notice,” said Aquatera in a release to EverythingGP.

The company says recent cold weather events in the Grande Prairie region have led to ice buildup on the concrete pads, creating hazardous safety conditions for customers.

During the temporary closure, customers are asked to use Aquatera’s other bulk water stations:

• 13405 97 Street Grande Prairie, AB, east of Keddies, across the tracks, first turn to the left;
• 12109 97 Avenue Grande Prairie, AB, west of EMCO, or southwest of Peavey Mart;
• 711079 RR73 in Dimsdale.
