Benjamin Olson Seaton, resident of Sexsmith, AB, passed away at home on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at the age of 26 years.
Benjamin was our miracle baby born in Grande Prairie, AB on August 9, 1995, to Bonnie and Len Seaton. He moved with his parents and big brother Matt to a small acreage near Sexsmith at the age of 3 months. Ben attended and graduated from Sexsmith Public School. He was a good student with many friends.
Ben worked for 7 years at Ken Sargent GMC beside his dad and brother and sister-in-law. He quit to travel and spend time with the love of his life Jessica in Virginia, USA and recently returned to make plans for her to come and make a life together here in Canada.
Ben was quiet, sweet, gentle, soft-spoken, and very funny. He was an animal whisperer – animals loved him! Gaming with friends was his favourite pastime. He built a huge network of friends from everywhere of which these people have claimed he was the nucleus. He also enjoyed art and reading.
Ben will be sadly missed by his fiancée Jessica Sheubrooks parents Bonnie (nee Erickson) and Len Seaton; brother Matt (Chantal) Seaton; sister Molly (Greg) Seaton; nephews Jensen and Bryer; as well as numerous aunties, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by grandparents: Albin and Lois Erickson, Marie Klem, Lennart K. Olson, George Seaton, and George Klem; as well as his uncle Steve Ross.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for family and friends.
In lieu of flowers and donations, to honour Ben: Be kind, plant a tree, smile at someone and be kind to animals.
Memorial Donations may be made to Bandaged Paws Animal Rescue Association (12220 104 Ave., Grande Prairie, AB, T8V 8A8), or to your local animal rescue.
