Bandaged Paws receives $50,000 donation from Stahl Peterbilt

Dec 22, 2021 | 12:22 PM

Christmas came early for workers and volunteers at Bandaged Paws.

Earlier this week, the non-profit organization received a generous donation of $50,000 from Stahl Peterbilt Inc.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Bandaged Paws said 2021 has been a difficult year for them because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic had forced the organization to make various tough decisions in order to keep the doors open.

Bandaged Paws Executive Director Natasha Arsenault says emotions flooded the room when David from Stahl Peterbilt delivered the $50,000 cheque.

“Stunned would be the best way to put it. We looked at each other and we were like ‘really? us?’ It was very, very surprising, we had no idea it was coming,” she explained.

“It took us a few minutes to wrap our head around it, our emotions kind of came through. We are still in disbelief, and this (donation) is going to be so helpful for us.”

Arsenault tells EverythingGP they have a meeting with the board to decide how to break up the funds into the most needed areas.

“Our operations are a big one as we do have up to $25,000 a month worth of medical bills or operational expenses,” she added. “But we want to discuss and plan out how we are going to utilize this amazing donation to best stretch it as far as we can to help our animals in the community.”

On behalf of Bandaged Paws, Arsenault says they cannot thank the Stahl family enough for their support.

“We want to thank the Stahl Family over and over for their generosity, they have supported us since the beginning of being in our facility and this giant donation is going to be wonderful. It means so much to us.”
