January 5, 1959 – November 15, 2021
It is with deep sorrow we announce today that Debra Lynn Jorgensen, nee Andersch, born in Pouce Coupe on January 5th, 1959, age 62, unexpectedly passed away on November 15, 2021, at her residence in Grande Prairie, Alberta.
Debbie was a grad student from south peace in 1979. Shortly after, she was married to the late Arnold Read who she then had 2 daughters with; Crystal Read and Carleen Read. She was great with numbers and found her calling in data entry. She took pride in her work and was always the first to arrive and didn’t hesitate to work late hours.
After a car accident, she had to have a bar and pins put in her leg, and to keep herself occupied she took up crocheting and she enjoyed it so much- doilies rained from the roof. She later took up cross stitch and has created a lot of very pretty angels.
In 1991, she got married to Tony Jorgensen and they were married 30 years. Some of her other hobbies she had was baseball. She played 2nd base. When she got into golf you could find her on the course, not just on lady’s night but also any free time she could get. All that hard work showed as she got many gifts from golf tournament.
Debbie Jorgensen was a beloved wife to Tony Jorgensen. Pre-Deceased by first husband Arnold Read. Much loved Mother to Crystal Read (David) Carleen Read (Ryan), cherished Nana to Braxtin, Trey, Nakayla, Aireanna, Hailey, Hannah and, Everly. Daughter to Diana Andersch (Earl), and the late Oswin Andersch, dear sister to Barb (Brad), and brothers Jim (Rene), and the late baby Kenny. Forever remembered by many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and the many friends she had.
A Celebration of life will be held for her in the spring, where we can gather in Toms Lake, BC., and say our farewells on the same day her father Oswin was entered in the columbarium. I believe a date/time will be found on her Facebook page closer to the spring.
Debra was most comfortable in her jeans, please honor her by wearing yours if you chose on this day.
Memorial donations can be made to the Diabetic Society.
