The City says starting on December 27, a two-week round of residential snow clearing will begin.

On Monday, crews will be plowing in the neighbourhoods of Crystal Heights, Crystal Landing, Hillside, Ivy Lake Estates, Mountview, Summit, and VLA/Montrose.

On Tuesday, crews will move into the neighbourhoods of Country Club Estates, Countryside North and South, Country Club West, Patterson and South Patterson, Southview, and Signature Falls, to begin snow clearing operations.

Crews will continue to plow and sand priority roads. Today (December 24), priority 2 roads in Crystal Lake, Lakeland and Gateway are being plowed.

A parking ban remains in place on permanent snow routes from Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. to aid crews in the safe and effective removal of snow from the roadway.

Snow removal in the County will resume on December 29.

Crews will begin in Whispering Ridge and Westlake Estates in Clairmont that morning before moving onto Clairmont between 100 and 116 Ave. Windrows remaining in the neighbourhoods of Taylor Estates and Maple Ridge will also be removed.

When the digital “No Parking” signs at the entrance to these areas are visible, temporary parking restrictions are in place and street parking is not permitted between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Vehicles left on the street when a parking restriction is in place may be ticketed and/or towed.

Residents are also being reminded that piling snow onto roadways is illegal and could result in a $100 fine.
