Alberta Minister of Health tests positive for COVID-19

Alberta Health Minister Jason Copping says he has tested positive for COVID-19.

Copping announced to Albertans he had COVID-19 on a Twitter thread posted just after 4:00 p.m. on Monday.

“After displaying mild symptoms last week, I have taken a rapid test and tested positive. I am now isolating at home,” said Copping. “Please stay home if you have symptoms, and take a rapid test if you can.”

Copping also encouraged Albertans to get vaccinated and get rapid testing kits if you can.
