Spirit River residents asked to conserve water, bulk water station temporarily shut down

Thursday, January 20, UPDATE: The Town of Spirit River said in a Facebook post on Thursday evening that water will remain shut off on Friday, January 21 to residents and businesses affected by the water break.

The water break is located on 46 Avenue between 48 Street and 50 Street.

The town apologizes for the inconvenience to those affected.

The Town of Spirit River is urging residents to conserve water due to a water break in the town.

As a result of the water break, the bulk water station has been shut down for the time being.

The notice was posted on the town’s Facebook page Tuesday, stating the water break is located on 46 Avenue between 48 Street and 50 Street.

Officials say water is off for residents in the above area, however, other people in the surrounding areas may be affected by the water shutoff, depending on the severity.

On a social media post from Wednesday at roughly 11:30 a.m. the town is still asking residents to conserve water for the time being.

“If you haven’t been notified via phone by the Town, please contact us to update your contact information,” said the Town of Spirit River in a social media post.

Administration asks residents to avoid the area while Public Works completes repairs.
