Annie Sullivan

(March 20, 1938-January 22, 2022)

 

It is with deep sadness that we mourn the loss of Annie Sullivan of Clairmont, Alberta (formerly of Valleyview, Alberta), who passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 22, 2022 at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital at the age of 83.

 

Annie was born in Calais, Alberta on March 20, 1938, to Jacob and Katherine Krejci, the third child of four girls. She attended school at the small country school in Calais and lived most of her life in the Valleyview area where she was a seamstress for many years and was well known for her large, abundant garden. She enjoyed the outdoors gardening, camping and going for long walks. She loved playing cards with her family, looking after her grandchildren, and jumping in with her help on any family project that she could. In 2015 Annie moved to Clairmont to live with her daughter, Elly, where she continued gardening, sewing and tatting doilies and Christmas ornaments. She also greatly looked forward to the Thursday morning bowling league.

 

Annie will be sadly missed by her four children, Diann Meunier (Denis), Brenda Jensen (Scott), Ellen Van Dyk (Rob), and Gordon Cross (Chrystal Norris) as well as step children Andy, Cliff, Irene, Sharon, and Ellen; Grandchildren Kim, Amanda (Conrad), Travis (Carmen), Sarah (Rick), Jolene, Tara, Ryan, and Jaxtyn as well as one sister, Heddy Denny (Harry). She will be missed by all her great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and step grandchildren.

 

Annie was pre-deceased by her parents, Jacob and Katherine Krejci, husband Harry Sullivan, sister Mary Morrison, brother-in-law Rufus Morrison, brother-in-law Harry Denny, sister Helen Walz and brother-in-law Ray Walz.

 

Annie loved spending time with her family and friends. She had a playful nature and loved to tease the kids. Family game night was always full of laughs when she joined in. She will be greatly missed by all.
