September 14, 1930 – January 25, 2022

 

Walter Delorme, 91, finished his journey in this life on January 25, 2022, with his family by his side in Grande Cache, Alberta.

 

He was born September 14, 1930, in Victor Lake to the late Flora and Louis Delorme.  The oldest of fourteen children. He lived a full life and spent it living off the land. His greatest legacy is the love of GOD, his family, and the strong values he instilled in his children.

 

Walter is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Mary Delorme; children – Delia Moberly (Leo), Marvin Delorme, Edna Howard, Ray Delorme and Diane Delorme; grandchildren – Matthew Delorme, Louis Delorme, Levi Howard and Liam Howard; great grandchildren – Hailey McKay, Antonio McKay, Riley McKay, Diego McKay, Evan Moody, Delilah Waterlily Delorme, Hope McKay, Lily Ava Maria Delorme and Aisla Howard; brothers – Roland, Ronnie, Charlie; sister – Florastine and numerous family members.

 

Predeceased by his parents, Louis and Flora Delorme; siblings – Ernie, Colin, Morris, Jimmy, Delphine, Eileen, Gordon, Helen Hallock and Bertha; and loving granddaughter, Claudia Howard.

 

A Wake will be held Friday, January 28 at 3PM at the Eagles Nest Community Hall with a Prayer Service at 7:30PM. The Funeral Service will be Saturday, January 29 at 11AM at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Grande Cache with the interment at Victor Lake Cemetery.

 

There will be a luncheon to follow at the Eagles Nest Community Hall.
