GPCSD expanding Kindergarten Plus program to Holy Cross

Grande Prairie & District Catholic Schools (GPCSD) has announced they will be offering a full-time Kindergarten program at Holy Cross school for the 2022-23 school year.

The Kindergarten Plus+ program offers students a full day, Monday to Friday Kindergarten program.

The District announced the pilot program back in February 2021, in an effort to help meet the needs of busy families and help bridge the learning gap caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Since then, officials say the full-day Kindergarten program has been successful.

Holy Cross is now the fifth school within the district to offer the full-day program.

Kindergarten PLUS+ is also available at École St-Gérard, Mother Teresa, St. Catherine, and St. Mary’s in Sexsmith.

Starting February 23, parents will be able to pre-populate their student registration forms, with new student registration opening March 2, 2022.
