Snowfall warning ended for most of Peace Region

Feb 2, 2022 | 4:28 PM

UPDATE: The snowfall warning issued for most of the Peace Region has ended. It still remains in effect for north of Fairview.

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for most of the Peace Region.

This includes the Grande Prairie-Beaverlodge-Valleyview forecast area.

The weather office says between 10-20 centimetres of snow is expected to fall in the region over the next three days.

There is also a slight chance of freezing rain Friday morning in the Grande Prairie and Whitecourt regions as warmer air moves into the area.

Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility and icy roads in some locations. Motorists are asked to drive to the conditions.
