City & County of Grande Prairie reach agreement on Intermunicipal Collaborative Framework
After five years of negotiations, the City & County of Grande Prairie have come to an agreement on an Intermunicipal Collaboration Framework (ICF).
Both councils approved the deal at their meetings on Monday.
These agreements are mandated by the provincial government and according to a release from City Hall, are meant to show how two municipalities provide shared services to their residents.
The new deal includes agreements on 11 services, including a Fire Mutual Aid Agreement, developing a labour force study, integrating public data sets, and sharing training and learning ideas.
