Manning & Grimshaw split weekend home and home

Dec 31, 2017 | 6:57 AM

The Manning Comets and Grimshaw Huskies returned to the ice this weekend following the holidays for a home and home.

Friday night in Manning it would be the Huskies who came out firing as they manhandled the Comets 12-5.

However, the re-match Saturday evening in Grimshaw was much different.

Manning would shut down the Huskies offence and earn a 5-1 victory.

With the weekend split, the Huskies still have a one-point advantage on the Comets in the NPHL east division standings.

The league will resume action on Thursday when the Grimshaw Huskies look to get back in the win column as they visit High Prairie.
