Applications open for 2023 Community Groups Enhancement Funding

City Hall says applications are now open to community agencies and groups for 2023 Community Group Enhancement Funding.

The city’s Katie Biberdorf says any non-profit group that enhances the quality of life in the city through the programs it provides is welcome to apply.

“They have to include a budget, their financial statements, their most recent proof of tax filing, and then there is a full application form where they would provide a description of the programs and services that they offer to the community.”

Biberdorf says these can include cultural, recreational, and social services organizations or similar groups.

She adds the city usually gets a lot of applications.

“There were a few changes to the policy a few years ago, so now we have some groups that are funded for multiple years. This particular stream of funding is just on an annual basis, so we’ll probably see, I would anticipate, 10-15 applications this year.”

Applications can be sent in through the city’s website. The deadline to apply is April 22.
