Storm close season with pair of losses

The Grande Prairie Storm closed the curtain on their 2021-22 season over the weekend with a pair of home games against the Spruce Grove Saints.

On Friday, the Storm let a 3-0 lead get away from them, as the Saints battled back for a 4-3 overtime win.

Jayden Davis scored on a power play 1:44 into the extra period to snap the Storm’s eight-game winning streak.

Edge Lambert, Dayne Tews, and Ty Toews scored for the Storm.

On Saturday, the Storm could only muster 11 shots on Zac Onyskiw en route to a 5-0 loss at the hands of the Saints.
