JDA Kings advance to NWJHL final

The County of Grande Prairie JDA Kings are off to the NWJHL final.

Cam Beson made 32 saves for the shutout as the Kings blanked the Sundown Oilfield Services Sexsmiuth Vipers 4-0 on Thursday night to win the semi-final in six games.

Tanner Davy, Landen Gourlie, Jeremy Niven, and Mason Kyllo scored for the Kings, who jumped out to a 3-0, first-period lead and led 4-0 after 40 minutes.

The Kings will play the winner of the other league semi-final between the Fort St John Huskies and the Dawson Creek Kodiaks.

That series resumes Friday night in Dawson Creek, with the Huskies up 3 games to 2.
