Bezanson’s Peck finishes 10th at Iditarod sled dog race

Bezanson native Aaron Peck and his team of sled dogs have finished 10th place in the famous Iditarod sled dog race in Alaska.

Peck and his team of dogs crossed the finish line at 3:10 a.m. with just seven dogs remaining. It took Peck nine days, 12 hours, 10 minutes and 30 seconds to complete the 1,569 kilometre race across Alaska.

The 10th place finish is Peck’s best-ever finish at the Iditarod.

Brent Sass ended up winning the race and finished with a time of eight days, 14 hours, 38 minutes and 43 seconds.
