Feb 27, 2019 | 10:30 AM

Mounties are investigating a pipe bomb that they say exploded in a garbage receptacle in Banff National Park.

Police say no one was hurt when the improvised device went off on Tuesday near Carrot Creek.

They believe it was an act of vandalism and not intended to harm anyone.

Police and employees searched other garbage bins in the park but didn’t find any other devices.

No one has been arrested.
