National unemployment rate drops to record low levels while Grande Prairie region sees slight increase

The economic region that includes Grande Prairie and the Peace region was one of only two areas in Alberta that saw its unemployment rate go higher in March.
The jobless rate moved up slightly to 5.3 per cent from 5.2 per cent in February.
Edmonton was the other region to see its unemployment rate go higher.
65-hundred fewer people were unemployed in Alberta in March, bringing the provincial jobless rate down to 6.5 per cent from 6.8 in February.
