Temporary emergency department closures at Central Peace Health Complex

Alberta Health Services says there will be two temporary closures at the emergency department of the Central Peace Health Complex in Spirit River.

The first will last from 7 p.m. Monday, April 18 and last until 7 a.m. on Tuesday, April 19. The department will remain open during the day, but the second closure will start at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, and last until 7 a.m. Wednesday, April 20.

AHS says people should still call 911 in an emergency. EMS calls will be rerouted to the Fairview Health Complex, Grande Prairie Regional Hospital, or the Valleyview Health Centre.

Anyone with a non-emergency health question can call 811 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
