September 17, 1969 – April 22, 2022

We are sadly informing folks of Lisa Joy Gliege’s passing. Lisa passed away in Grande Prairie, Alberta, on April 22, 2022.

Lisa was the firstborn (September 17, 1969) of four children to Shirley and Arnold Gliege. Lisa was born and raised in Grande Prairie, Alberta. Her kindness, calmness, and love will be cherished.

Lisa was predeceased by her Mother, Shirley, and Brother, Michael Gliege. Lisa lives on through her two children: Matthew Brett Gliege and Tiffany Gray, and former partner and beloved friend Pierre Grant Gray. Lisa also carries on through her siblings; Kevin Dale Gliege and Colleen Janet Penson, and Aunt Barb Campbell (Ian). She will also be loved and forever remembered by her niece Aliesha, nephew Brent, and many other close relatives and friends.

Lisa was a kind and compassionate person and was loved by so many people and gave so much love in return. Lisa embodied faith, joy, gentleness, and much more. She was taken by nature and surrounded by beauty. Her Higher Power /Creator/ Mother Earth /God was full of love and humility. She always took life on life’s terms, which many admired. Lisa would always say, “Pray, meditate and wait to see the good.” Lisa had a glowing flame in her heart for all to see and share. She had a passion for writing and always loved a conversation. Many would say she had a calm and uplifting voice. Lisa had many coffee dates at Tim Hortons with friends and enjoyed French vanilla at any time of the day and a smooth cup of peppermint tea. She gave a lot of time to her fellows and enjoyed sharing in her recovery. Lisa volunteered her time at many events over the years. She also spent her time working in the kitchen at the Northern Addictions Centre, the Wapiti Dorm, and at Sears. Lisa enjoyed people, and had a burst of pure heart-her laughter that will live on and the memory of her hugs that we will always feel.

Lisa’s celebration of life will be held on Monday, May 2, 2022, at 3 pm. We invite everyone to join us at Bear Creek Funeral Home in Grande Prairie, AB. at 2 pm. to spend some time with Lisa before the service. We welcome all as Lisa would. For those unable to attend, the celebration will be livestreamed on YouTube.
