Former Chief Crown Prosecutor in Grande Prairie now a judge

A one-time Chief Crown Prosecutor in Grande Prairie has been named a judge by the province’s Justice and Solicitor General Ministry.
Steven Hinkley is one of eight new provincial court justices named to fill existing vacancies. He has been appointed in the Northern Region.
Hinkley was named the Chief Crown Prosecutor in the Grande Prairie office in 2012 before being named senior counsel for regional prosecutions in 2021.
His appointment as a judge becomes effective May 4.
