Peace Region Energy Show

Peace Region Energy Show back on May 18 & 19 for first time since 2019

May 5, 2022 | 1:29 PM

It’s been three years since one of the largest networking opportunities for the Peace Region’s energy sector has been held.

Last time in 2019 it was the Peace Region Petroleum Show. It has been re-branded as the Peace Region Energy Show.

The event had been held biennially from 1995 to 2019 before the disruption caused by Covid-19 pandemic restrictions.

The Grande Prairie Petroleum Association and Grande Prairie and District Chamber of Commerce partner to hold the show, Tanya Oliver, the Chamber’s CAO and show manager, says they used the time from not holding a show in 2021 to re-brand.

“Re-branding to the Peace Region Energy Show helps us remain relevant”

“The narrative is right now… we felt that having an energy show gives those traditional energy companies a platform to demonstrate their importance and open our arms and invite the alternate energy companies as well.”

Oliver noted there will be around 300 exhibitors at this year’s event.

“It’s been three years since we were able to host the last show so there’s a lot of pent-up demand for this opportunity and it’s a really good chance for exhibitors and visitors to connect with some of the biggest players in the industry,” Oliver says.

“It’s a really good opportunity to get face-to-face time with existing and new clients, showcase new products and technology, and really just make that in-person connection with the quality contacts that you’re looking for.”

The Peace Region Energy Show will take place May 18 and 19 at TARA Centre in Evergreen Park. The show is free to attend. You can skip the line and pre-register online by clicking here.
