Grande Prairie RCMP seize multiple illegal substances

Grande Prairie RCMP say they have arrested a city man in connection with a drug seizure.

The arrest came during patrols downtown on Tuesday, May 24.

Police say they thought a man was breaching his release conditions. A search of the man turned up multiple drugs and drug dealing paraphernalia including:

• 36 grams of suspected methamphetamine
• 113 grams of suspected fentanyl
• 109 grams of suspected cocaine
• 39 grams of suspected Xanax
• 11 grams of suspected T-3s
• 3 grams of suspected crack cocaine
• $685 cash
• Cell phones
• Weigh scales
• Drug packaging material

Jason Holtz, 42, has been charged with six counts of possessions for the purpose of trafficking and eight counts of failure to comply with a release order.

Holtz is expected in court on June 22 and remains in police custody.
