Grande Prairie RCMP CRU arrest man for dangerous operations of a motor vehicle

On Friday June 10, around 10 p.m., the Grande Prairie RCMP Crime Reduction Unit was making proactive patrols downtown when they witnessed a grey sedan speed through a red light.

RCMP later identified the male driver and made an arrest.

The driver was charged with:

  • Dangerous operations of a motor vehicle
  • Flight from a Peace Officer
  • Failing to comply with a release order
  • Failing to stop at an intersection
  • Operating a vehicle without a license
  • Uttering a forged document
  • Fraud over $5,000.

23-year-old Dylan Sutton of Grande Prairie was held in police custody after a judicial hearing and will appear in court on June 29.

Members of the public are asked to contact their local RCMP detachment if they witness any suspicious activity.
