Shelter in place order removed for residents of Cadotte Lake

A shelter in place order has been lifted for residents of Cadotte Lake on the Woodland Cree First Nation.

Peace Regional RCMP put the order in place after receiving a 911 call around 9:40 Tuesdsay night regarding a firearms complaint, and a report of an individual injured at a home.

A 35-year-old victim was taken by air ambulance to an Edmonton area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The condition of the victim is unknown at this time.

As part of the shelter in place order, residents were asked to avoid posting any photos or videos on social media.

Peace Regional RCMP will continue to have a presence in the area as they continue to investigate this incident.
