Man dead after shooting on Woodland Cree Nation

Peace Regional RCMP says a man shot at a private home Tuesday in the Woodland Cree Nation has died.

The 35-year-old had been treated on scene before being taken to an Edmonton hospital.

Mounties were called to the home at around 9:30 Tuesday night. The shooting had led to a shelter in place order for residents of Cadotte Lake.

The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation.
