Piranhas finish ninth overall at nationals, about to send first athletes to Canada Summer Games
The Grande Prairie Piranhas wound up ninth in the overall standings among the 51 clubs that took part in the Swimming Canada Junior and Senior Championships held in Montreal from July 25 to August 1.
The Piranhas won three gold medals, along with three silver and four bronze.
Dominik Kwiecien ended up with four medals at the competition after winning bronze in the 1500 metre freestyle and silver in the 1.5-kilometre open water swim in the 14-15 age group.
Jordan Greber picked up her third medal over the weekend as well, a silver in the 15-17 age group 200 metre backstroke.
