County of Grande Prairie, PRFA lift fire advisories

Aug 4, 2022 | 1:09 PM

The fire advisory issued by the County of Grande Prairie Fire Service on July 27 has been lifted.

The fire department says fire permits are still needed to do any burning and that burning is not permitted when winds are at or are expected to reach 12 kilometres per hour or more.

Environment Canada says Grande Prairie had 34.5 millimeters of rain from Saturday through Wednesday.

A fire advisory in the Peace River Forest Area has also been lifted. The wildfire danger rating there is now low.
