Canada Summer Games bronze for Kwiecien

Another medal for a Grande Prairie Piranhas swimmer at the Canada Summer Games.

Dominik Kwiecien has won bronze in the men’s open water swim.

Swimmer from Manitoba won gold and Ontario the silver in the same event.

Marissa Laurin will also come home with a bronze medal after finishing third in the 200 metre backstroke Wednesday night

Grande Prairie’s Maero Onwah and the Alberta men’s basketball team will play in Saturday’s bronze medal game after a 98-52 loss to B.C. in the semi-finals on Friday.

Alberta is third in the medal standings with 58, with 22 gold, 16 silver, and 20 bronze.

The Canada Summer Games continue through August 21 in Niagara, Ontario.
