Stolen firearms, drugs and property recovered following search warrant near Valleyview

On August 22, 2022, a search warrant was executed by the Valleyview RCMP on a rural property west of the town.

Police located and seized the following:

• Several hundred rounds of ammunition for various firearms
• Four long guns
• One imitation firearm
• Two bladed weapons
• One wooden recurve bow
• One set of brass knuckles
• Stolen documentation for four different vehicles
• Keys to eight different vehicles
• Four stolen license plates
• Two stolen vehicles
• Various drug paraphernalia
• 54 grams of methamphetamine
• 36 tablets of prescription drugs
• One stolen subwoofer

30-year-old Shawn Danner and 49-year-old Craig Harrington, both residents of Valleyview, have been charged with:

• Two counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
• Two counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

In addition, Damer has also been charged with:

• One count of resisting or obstructing a peace officer
• Three counts of failure to comply with release order
• One count of possession of controlled substance
• One count of trafficking a firearm
• Three counts of possession of a firearm contrary to prohibition order

Harrington has also been charged with: one count of unauthorized possession of a firearm and one count of failure to comply with a release order.
