84 Avenue and 108 Street traffic signal replacement

The City of Grande Prairie will begin a traffic signal planned outage at 84 Avenue and 108 Street on Sunday, September 18.

The work includes:

• Removal of a junction box
• Removal of existing traffic signal cables
• Installation of a new conduit

The northbound traffic signal will be fully disconnected while work is underway, the rest will be flashing red, drivers should treat the intersection as a four-way stop during construction.

This is being done as a part of the 2022 Intersection Improvement project.

Construction is expected to only take one day, depending on the weather.

Motorists are asked to drive with caution and obey all signage and signals.
