The City and County of Grande Prairie will be re-opening 108 Street
On Saturday, October 1, 108 Street from 132 Avenue to 150 Avenue will re-open.
The City made upgrades to the roadway and installed a new pedestrian pathway on the east side of 108 Street. It also partnered with the County of Grande Prairie to install traffic signals on a cost-share basis.
Mayor Jackie Clayton says in a news release, “Regional collaboration is integral in enhancing residents’ quality of life, ensuring safe communities, and offering top-notch amenities and services beyond municipal lines.”
The City says this project will improve road safety for commuters and improve connectivity for cyclists, pedestrians, and other forms of active transportation.
