Gushue, Walker win National

Team Gushue has won the first Grand Slam of Curling stop of the season.

Brad Gushue’s rink, which includes Beaverlodge’s Geoff Walker at lead, beat Niklas Edin 5-4 in Sunday’s final of the National in North Bay, Ontario.

In the women’s final, Silvana Tirinzoni’s team from Switzerland beat Kerri Einarson 7-3.
