Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Reduction Unit is investigating an infant death in High Prairie

Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit has overtaken an investigation into the death of a 7-month-old baby in High Prairie.
Mounties investigated the circumstances around the infant male’s death and an autopsy was performed on Tuesday, October 11, in Edmonton that determined the death was a homicide.
The Alberta Major crimes unit has taken over this case with the assistance of the High Prairie RCMP, Alberta Forensic Identification Services, and Western Alberta District RCMP General Investigation Section.
No further updates will be given at this time and RCMP will release more information regarding the case when they can.
