Fairview Health Complex Emergency Department to be closed for a large part of Saturday

Alberta Health Services says the Emergency Department at the Fairview Health Complex will be closed from 7 am to 7 pm on Saturday, October 15th.

An unexpected nursing shortage is the reason given for the closure.

They add people should still call 911 in an emergency.

EMS calls will be rerouted to neighbouring facilities.

Anyone with a non-emergency health question can call 811, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
