Portions of aquatics centre at Eastlink Centre closed due to contamination

The city has announced that the splash park and wading pool at the Eastlink Centre are closed due to what is being called bacterial contamination.

In a post on the city’s Facebook page, it says staff at the facility are following proper protocols, including draining and deep cleaning the affected areas.

Both areas are expected to re-open on November 3rd.

Aquatic programming, including swimming lessons, will not be affected during these closures.

The city reminds guests of the Eastlink Centre to shower before using the aquatics centre to avoid bringing contaminates into the pools.
