Festival of Trees returns for 34th edition

A holiday tradition in Grande Prairie kicks off Thursday night at the TARA Centre at Evergreen Park, with the 34th edition of the Festival of Trees.

People thinking of attending this year’s event are reminded to purchase their tickets in advance online at www.festivaloftreesgp.ca, as tickets will not be available at the door.

Hours for the show are 5 to 9 pm Thursday, 10 am to 6 pm both Friday and Saturday, and noon to 5 on Sunday.

This year’s event returns a number of popular activities from past years, including Senior’s day on Friday, family day on Sunday, and activities such as gingerbread lane, kids’ secret shop, and live entertainment all weekend.

The weekend also includes a Mistletoe Mixer on Friday night, a Holiday Barn Burner event on Saturday night, and the Teddy Bear Breakfast on Sunday.
