Alberta Major Crimes Unit investigating homicide in High Prairie

On Tuesday, November 29, High Prairie RCMP received a firearms complaint at 1:43 a.m. in the area around 50 Street and 52 Avenue.

After they arrived, Mounties spotted a nearby vehicle, where a deceased 37-year-old resident of High Prairie was inside.

The Alberta Major Crimes Unit has been deployed to the community to further investigate this incident.

RCMP does believe that this was a targeted event and there is no ongoing threat in the community.
