Firefighters salvage belongings and Christmas presents in house fire
At approximately 11:20 a.m. this morning, the County of Grande Prairie Regional Fire Service – Teepee Creek, Bezanson, and Clairmont stations – along with Sexsmith and Wembley Fire Departments responded to a structure fire near Teepee Creek on Township Road 740.
The fire was in a manufactured home and when crews arrived heavy plumes of smoke were coming from it.
Firefighters made their way into the home and contained the fire to the residence and were able to salvage some belongings and Christmas presents.
The temperature was -25 at the time of the fire and made for some extra challenges for crews.
