2023 Dream Home Lottery marks 30th anniversary

A local lottery that began as a fundraiser for the QE2 Hospital Foundation before being taken over by the Rotary Club of Grande Prairie 13 years ago, hits a special anniversary this year.

This is the 30th year for the Dream Home lottery, which officially opened to the public on Tuesday.

Located in Taylor Estates, this year’s home is valued at $1.4 million and was designed and built by Unique Home Concepts.

A few unique twists have been introduced to this year’s draw to recognize the 30th anniversary.

That includes a special 30th-anniversary prize of $30,000 cash, which will be drawn on May 30.
