Western Alberta District Crime Unit arrest leads to 76 charges
An attempt to locate and arrest two individuals wanted on outstanding warrants led Mounties to arrest four individuals and seize a number of illegal items.
On January, 23, the Western Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit, with support from RCMP Dog Services and the Valleyview detachment, visited a residence in Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation looking for two people.
On arrival, RCMP noticed four people outside the residence, interacting with a vehicle in the driveway. RCMP reported it had two loaded sawed-off shotguns inside.
All four were arrested and police obtained warrants to search all vehicles and the home.
