County of Grande Prairie to recognize outstanding volunteers through new program

The County of Grande Prairie has introduced a new program that recognizes volunteers and organizations that contribute to the well-being of their communities.

Nominations are now being accepted for “It Takes a Volunteer”, which acknowledges individuals or groups for outstanding service to their community through volunteerism.

All nominees will receive a recognition package from the county and will be highlighted during National Volunteer Week in mid-April, with up to three nominees receiving added recognition by being featured in videos that highlight their contributions.

The deadline to nominate someone is March 1st.
