Peace Region athletes at CCAA basketball, volleyball nationals

SAIT in Calgary is hosting the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association Men’s Basketball Championship this weekend.

Eight teams from across the country are taking part.

Charlottetown, PEI’s Holland College has Grande Prairie’s Logan Rempel on its roster.

Rempel’s Hurricanes play the host Trojans in their first game Thursday night at 8 PM.

Mohawk College in Ontario is hosting the women’s championship. No players from the Peace are involved.

Last weekend, Vermilion’s Lakeland Rustlers won the CCAA women’s volleyball championship, beating Victoria’s Camosun College 3-0 in the final.
