Peace River RCMP arrest B&E suspect

On March 16, at 3:09 p.m., Peace Regional RCMP received a report about a home invasion in progress at a residence in the area of 99 Street in Peace River.

However, once the suspect was confronted he fled the scene.

Witnesses kept tabs on the suspect, maintaining a visual until Mounties could locate the suspect near the downtown area.

Fifty-year-old Peace River resident Hector Whitehead was arrested and charged with:

• Break and Enter a Residence
• Theft over $5000
• Assault

He is expected to appear in Peace River Provincial Court on April 3.
